Hundred Oaks Castle and Gardens in Winchester

Come join us on our first trip of the year to Hundred Oaks Castle and Gardens in Winchester on Saturday, April 23.  Our approximate departure time will be 8:45 a.m. and approximate return will be 5:00 p.m. (both from the Ag Expo south parking area). The castle will remind you of Scotland and the gardens of England.  We will enjoy a guided tour for 90 minutes-2 hours which includes a magnificent carpet of over 2,000 tulips and the grand ballroom with colorful flags of many countries hanging from the wooden rafters!  After our tour we will eat lunch from the buffet at Jim Oliver’s Smoke House Restaurant and browse in his Old General Store in Monteagle.  Next we travel to the stunningly beautiful University of the South (Sewanne) campus where our bus will make a perimeter loop.  Time will be set aside for everyone to either walk on the campus and/or take in the European architectural style while relaxing over coffee or tea.  If the weather is wet and/or chilly the welcoming hearth at the new Inn at Sewanee will provide a comforting respite.  Cost for the Hundred Oaks tour is $22 per person. Lunch and snack costs will be your responsibility. Visit Http://www.hundredoakscastle.com to view the majesty of the castle and gardens.  To peruse the campus go to http://www.Sewanee.edu
