We are now accepting applications for the 2012 Master Gardener Class. The Williamson County Extension office conducts the Master Gardener training on an annual basis beginning in January and ending in April. The classes are alternated annually between day and night. For 2012, the classes are offered on consecutive Tuesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon, January 10th through April 3rd with the exception of March 13th (that meeting will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.). Classes are held at the Williamson County Ag Expo Park at 4215 Long Lane in Franklin.

Master Gardener Application 2012

There are twelve, three-hour sessions offered on a variety of horticultural topics for the homeowner, landscape professional or horticultural enthusiast. We also offer a couple of optional out-of-class educational activities. Becoming a Williamson County Master Gardener requires the completion of at least 40 hours of training, followed by volunteer work with the University of Tennessee Extension and the Williamson County Master Gardener Association for 40 hours. The cost of the class is $125.00, which covers all class materials. Enrollment is limited, on a first-come, first-serve basis.
